Korea has four different seasons namely spring (March-May), summer (June-August), autumn (September-November), and winter (December-February). Changing seasons also means changing clothes. With temperatures varying according to the season, it is important to dress for the weather. The best time to visit Seoul is from March to May and from September to November, when average daily high temperatures remain below the mid-70s and travel costs are low. Somewhere between extreme summer and winter, spring and autumn are the two best seasons to visit Korea. In both cases, you will be welcomed by warm to warm temperatures and relatively dry conditions, especially when compared to hot & wet seasons.

4. Conventional clothes

The word hanbok itself actually means "Korean clothing". It consists of two main parts. On the upper body, men and women wear jackets called jeogori. For the bottom, women wear long, fluffy skirts called chima, while men slip into broad wide pants called wedges. Hanbok is known to be very comfortable, his loose silhouette provides ease of movement, influenced by the nomadic tendencies of the Koreans at that time. The origins of hanbok can be traced back to the Goguryeo Dynasty, one of the Three Ancient Kingdoms of Korea. Although the basic design of hanbok is barely changed, slight changes have been made here and there depending on the impact of different cultures. For example, due to the influence of Mongolian fashion during the reign of the Mongol Empire in the 13th century, jeogori for women was cut shorter above the waist. During the Joseon Dynasty, differences in social class were evident in the hanbok style. While commoners were very limited in using only cotton and white for their clothing, nobles were smothered in silk and bright colors of the rainbow. It was worn every day until 100 years ago, originally designed to facilitate ease of movement. But now, it is only used on special occasions or celebrations.
